DESCRIPTION:

This is a very exquisite figurine that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American Pottery is Navajo hand carved out of Orange Agate with a real Turquoise stone. The craftsmanship in this piece shows the beautiful and charming work of handcrafted Navajo art!

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

    Hopi Eagle Dancer Kachina
Posted by Calvin S. | Reviewing Kachina-Dolls.com | Posted on
I found this very wonderful Kachina here. I wanted a special gift for my Niece who has lived in AZ for nearly 25 years and enjoys the many special cultures present here. The purchase experience was very easy, and the Kachina arrived in perfect condition. I am sure that my niece will enjoy it very much.

We all need to see more affordable Kachina Dolls

They are great but they are too expensive. Kachina Dolls for about $20 should be available for all types of Kachinas.

    Memories
Posted by Beatrice Walter | Reviewing Kachina-Dolls.com | Posted on
Being able to have a kachina doll shipped to me across the US is truly remarkable. Each time i order one it reminds me of my memories traveling to through the southwest in the 80's. All of the beautiful places i was able to visit, and the kind Native American people we got the pleasure of encountering and learning about their traditions. While you can't buy memories, each piece of southwestern art that i own is a reminder of some of the most precious times in my life.

    Only place i buy gifts
Posted by Pat Leech | Reviewing Kachina-Dolls.com | Posted on
I'm glad to have been able to find a company that sells hand made item made in our own country. Not only are these gifts unique in their place of origin but as well as in the tradition behind each piece. When it comes to buying a gift for a family member, friend or other people in my life, i know that a gift from here will be 100% more meaningful than any gift i can buy at a near by chain store.

    Symbolic pieces of art!
Posted by Denna Begay | Reviewing Kachina-Dolls.com | Posted on
I love my Native American heritage and couldn't be prouder of my background and roots. I know that purchasing a piece from Kachina dolls supports local artists who build these beautiful pieces by hand. The culture behind each piece is a story in itself and I cherish having each kachina doll I've purchased in my house.
